Message	very soon after purchasing it. I'd say after 7 or so years, if you haven't reached another 60k mark, it's about time to replace it. Honestly, what's ~$400 for a FULL 60/120k kit every 5+ years? Childs play. Same as changing oil. I change out my M1 and OEM filter every 1,500-2,000 miles (2,500 in my DD). At $25 ($17 for the Neon), it's a bargain compared to long-term problems. So no.. you are definitely not stupid.
